Uganda Business Seminar and Networking Luncheon on August 30, 2016 in Scandic Marina Congress Center

Team Finland, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda, the Uganda Investment Authority, and the Uganda National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will organize a business seminar and a networking luncheon in Helsinki on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 08:30 – 13:00 hrs. The business event will be held in Scandic Marina Congress Center at Katajanokka, Helsinki.

The Ugandan delegation will be led by H.E. Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi, Vice President of the Republic of Uganda. The Vice President will be accompanied on his visit to Finland by a prominent official and business delegation.  

The seminar will highlight the latest developments of the Ugandan economy, the priority sectors of the government, the business environment and opportunities for cooperation. Uganda offers vast potential for Finnish companies looking for growth in the African markets. After the seminar the participants can meet with the Ugandan businessmen for detailed discussions to match the Finnish expertise to the imminent upgrading needs e.g. of the Ugandan industries and infrastructure, and lay the ground for further business cooperation between Uganda and Finland.  

The Ugandan delegation is interested in the Finnish offering on the following business sectors: Cleantech (energy, W2E, renewables, water technologies), Infrastructure, ICT, Mining, Health, Agriculture and Tourism.
