Finnish–German call for applications for SME joint projects
Project ideas should stem from the companies' own needs and can belong to any domain. The projects should involve the development of competitive and innovative products, services and processes. Tekes will fund the Finnish companies, while German participants will be funded through the ZIM programme (Zentrale Innovationsprogramm Mittelstandon), which has received excellent feedback and is Germany's key source of innovation funding for SMEs.
Each joint project should include two small or medium-sized enterprises – one from each country i.e. Finland and Germany – which will make a significant investment in the project. Project consortia may also include other participants and participants from other countries. In Finland, input from research organisations should be acquired through subcontracting.
Applications should be submitted on Tuesday 31 May 2016 at 4:15 pm at the latest. The applicants should fill in the joint project description sheet included in the complete call for applications. This should be attached to Tekes's online funding application that must be submitted by all Finnish applicants.
In the online funding application, the section reserved for basic project information includes a question on whether the application is related to another project. Please write ZIM application in this field. More detailed information on the application process is provided in the complete call for applications (pdf).
