Water Programme 2008–2012
The Water programme reforms business operations, products and services in the water sector in Finland and promotes Finnish expertise in the sector on the international market. The focus of the reforms includes not only utilising modern technology but also innovation in the water sector's business models, customer-focused services concepts and comprehensive solutions.
The programme promotes operations that focus on domestic water supply, waste water and industrial water. The key themes of the programme are water sector reform, networking and internationalisation.
Companies operating in Finland can apply for funding at any time until the end of 2012. Research organisations may apply funding on specific application periods - in Water Programme the calls were organised in 2008, 2009 and 2011 (25 projects funded, value approx. EUR 12 million).
